I have always been a lover of birds. Ever since I was a little child I remember that every time I looked out my window and saw birds, I would one day own as many as I could. This started off my hobby of bird keeping. Although this hobby is expensive and you have to consider that birds love their freedom, it is a hobby that I persist in keeping alive.
One day I will use my skills that I have learned about bird keeping and will eventually probably end up having a job that revolves around it, that is to say that I hope that I can have a satisfying job.
There are many different types of birds to consider as pets and the easiest by far is the Budgie. When I was a boy I remember owning two of them. Everyday without fail, after I would come home from school, I would run to their cage, take them into our bathroom and close the windows and door. I would then set them free and just sit and watch them in awe flapping about and happily playing with each other as if they had no care in the world.
A part of me knew that these birds wanted to be set free and I knew that one day they would be.. It would have been inhuman of me to let them go though since birds do not really know how to survive in the outdoor world when they are inbred. These were such birds, so I had no choice but to keep them flying around.
However, I fondly remember that somehow one of them got free and after a few weeks it found it's way back to me! How excited I was to know that this little animal actually trusted me enough to come flying back to me.
It does take a while to get used to taking care of birds, understanding their habits, re-creating their habitats and feeding them in a healthy and appropriate way. You will understand this better if you consider doing more research on bird keeping or even getting first hand knowledge by buying your first bird and getting started on keeping it.
